Telling Scary Stories

1 min read

What was the scariest story you ever heard?…or felt? …or experienced? Were you a child? Was there a bad guy?

There was for me…a disgusting bad guy…but that’s a bigger story, for another time.

OR…maybe, your scary story was something that you experienced recently…in your grown-up life?

Maybe, just maybe, it happened in 2020…I can definitely relate to that too.

Can you?

From the unpredictability of mother nature/global warming/environmental chaos, to world-wide pandemic lockdowns, to the insanity (and borderline tyranny) of many current world leaders, to the discovery of CHILDREN in mass graves near the schools that were supposed to teach AND protect them…SIGH…as Canadians especially, TODAY, our reality is…scary…

So, what now…?

HOW do we cope? How do “WE” (as a global entity) move forward?

It really is an overwhelming question and, I don’t necessarily have THE answer…but, I feel that a big part of finding an answer can be found in connecting…and interconnecting, with those that are like-minded, and pushing for change.

TOGETHER.

The loosening of the pandemic restrictions thankfully is FINALLY allowing us to do just that.

CONNECT.

IN.

REAL.

LIFE.

WITH FRIENDS.

Sighhhhhhhhh…what a novel idea…

So, whether it’s lounging at a casual backyard barbecue, sipping tea with a cherished friend fresh out of isolation or sharing scary stories around a campfire…let’s get OUT there.

And connect. Again.

Safely, of course…and selectively.

As Helen Keller so wisely once said, “Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light.”

It really is true.

I will be sharing more in the coming weeks and months about who has come together in my corner. Please feel free to reach out…and stay tuned!

Because with friends, better stories are in our future.

It is up to us to come together to make them real.
